Entry Level Brewer

Job Duties

  • Clean and organize kegs

  • Beer packaging in kegs

  • Assist with brewing operations

  • Accurate record keeping of daily work in production logs

  • Perform QC and QA checks at various points in the process

  • Follow all safety and health regulations

  • Daily cleaning and maintenance as required

  • Occasionally run tours and tastings of the brewery

  • Assist taproom staff in draft line cleaning and maintenance

  • Be a brand ambassador and potentially represent Red Bear at festivals and local events

  • Any other assigned tasks


  • Initial exposure of some amount in homebrew, breweries, brewpubs, or similar industries

  • Basic draft system knowledge

  • Passion for the art and science of brewing and desire to try and make unique new brews

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Positive, fun attitude and self-motivated work ethic

  • Strong attention to detail

  • The ability to follow and understand strict standard operating procedures

  • Ability to take direction and work both independently as well as part of a team

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems as they occur

  • Willingness to develop sensory evaluation skills

  • The ability to lift up to 75 lbs multiple times throughout a work shift

  • Willing to work in wet, hot, cold, and loud conditions

  • Flexibility in terms of hours and willingness to work weekends and overtime

  • Completion of the Certified Cicerone Beer Server exam within 60 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in a production brewery or brewpub is preferred

  • Familiarity with EKOS Brewery Management Software

  • Mechanical experience and aptitude


  • Hourly Wages based on Experience
